Amy Johnson, President

A native of Moultrie/Colquitt County, Amy Johnson brings more than 27 years of experience in economic development to the role of Authority President.

Having dedicated the past 26 years to downtown development in Moultrie, Johnson has played a pivotal role in numerous projects, spearheaded impactful events, and facilitated the establishment of more than 100 new businesses, which created several hundred jobs.  Her contributions were recognized in 2022 when downtown Moultrie was honored with the prestigious title of Downtown of the Year.  Johnson was also honored in 2023 to receive the Starr Award from the Georgia Cities Foundation.

In her position as the Moultrie-Colquitt County Development Authority President, Johnson primarily focuses on community economic development, while also serving in an advisory capacity for downtown development initiatives.
